Treatment of Thrombophlebitis Complicated by Severe Infection

In May of last year, a 48-year-old patient named Andri presented with severe pain in her legs below the knee, which worsened with walking. She also reported significant leg weakness, limiting her to walking only 50-100 meters without needing to stop, and difficulty climbing even one flight of stairs.

Upon examination, there was notable redness in the veins of both legs, intense pain with the slightest pressure, and small wounds with minor pus discharge. Her medical history included transient arrhythmia (episodes lasting 5-10 minutes), slightly increased blood clotting, and reduced blood oxygen levels at 91-92%.

The combination of these factors, along with the infection, likely contributed to her condition.

After consulting with surgeons, we decided to pursue a conservative treatment approach, incorporating high doses of ozone therapy, including “ozone bags,” ozone multi-pass, intravenous laser treatment, and a specialized complex of plant-based medications designed to enhance the immune system.

The treatment resulted in successfully eradicating the infection and restoring blood circulation in her legs. The patient can now walk approximately a kilometer without stopping and no longer experiences leg pain.

The following recommendations were provided to the patient:

Begin monitoring and treating arrhythmia episodes with a cardiologist.

Take plant-based blood-thinning medications.

Schedule follow-up visits every six months (including examinations and thermography) and annual maintenance ozone therapy courses (10 sessions).

Thrombophlebitis is a common condition, particularly among women. Factors such as the distance of the affected area from the heart, increased blood viscosity, the constant pressure exerted by blood moving downward, and the weakness of the heart muscles contribute to stagnation in the veins of the lower extremities and the development of infection.

Our treatment approach utilizes intravenous ozone therapy, sometimes administered multiple times a day, and intravenous laser therapy following a specific protocol. Intravenous laser irradiation thins the blood and eliminates microbes, while intravenous ozone therapy eradicates microbes and viruses, oxygenates the blood, and also thins it. This combination facilitates rapid recovery.

We are confident in our ability to provide high-quality treatment for thrombophlebitis of the lower extremities.
